INTERNATIONALY RECOGNISED TEA FACTORY IN SRI LANKA
Aruna Group of Companies (AGC) has established themselves as a leading manufacturer and supplier of black tea for direct exporters in the domestic market under the name of Aruna Tea Factory (Pvt) Ltd in Kaluthara District, Sri Lanka and was incorporated in the year 2004 under the Companies Act of 1982. The total factory area is sq.ft. 70,000 which is located on an extent of 5acres in the Meegahatanna, Kumbaduwa Estate. The products are mainly categorized as low country products. AGC has acquired all the expertise for the production process. The company has also developed the experience of procurement, packing and supply of tea for the direct exports. Now AGC takes pride in introducing superior quality tea to its distinct buyers from all across the domestic market. Our quality is being continuously assessed by governing body of the local authority and is in the process of identifying the quality by the laboratory operated by the Plantation Authority. AGC believes in providing best quality Ceylon tea to all over the world at competitive prices. Tea is packed in container sacks averaging 30kg per sack.

73% of tea production in Sri Lanka is produced by smallholders. So they are a unique group in the tea industry. One of the major problems of the tea small holdings is the lack of productivity. One of the main reasons for this is the lack of plant density in tea lands. As a solution to this, the project aims to increase the income level of the tea plantations by increasing their income through technical assistance and financial assistance.
